Pharmacological action

MICRASIM is an enzyme preparation from the pancreas of animals, which includes protease, lipase and amylase, which provide the digestion of proteins, fats and carbohydrates in food.

After taking the drug, the gelatin capsule dissolves in the stomach under the action of gastric juice and pancreatin microgranules that are resistant to the acidic environment of the stomach, together with the gastric contents, enter the duodenum 12 and then into the small intestine, where digestive enzymes are released and enzymatic digestion is provided. .

Pancreatin in the form of microgranules provides faster mixing of digestive enzymes with intestinal contents and their uniform distribution in it, which provides higher digesting activity.

Enzymatic activity of pancreatin appears maximally in 30-40 minutes after oral administration.

After interaction with substrates, protease, lipase and amylase in the lower intestine lose activity and are excreted along with intestinal contents. Micrazim is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and acts locally.

Indications

For replacement therapy for pancreatic enzyme deficiency associated with: hereditary diseases - cystic fibrosis (pancreatic fibrosis), chronic pancreatitis by pancreatic tumors by surgical interventions on the pancreas. Substitution therapy for pancreatic enzyme deficiency cannot replace the treatment of the underlying disease.

Symptomatic therapy in a complex treatment for the correction of digestive disorders that occur with other diseases or pathological conditions of the gastrointestinal tract: conditions after resection of the stomach, gall bladder, part of the intestine diseases and conditions accompanied by impaired bile secretion (liver disease, cholecystitis, gall stones bladder disease, chronic diseases of the biliary tract, compression of the biliary tract by neoplasms, cystic growths, etc.)

Overdose
