Pharmacological action

When applied topically, systemic absorption is negligible.

A drug with mucolytic and vasoconstrictor effects for use in ENT practice.

Acetylcysteine ​​is a mucolytic. It dilutes the mucous and purulent-mucous secretions.

The mechanism of action is associated with the ability of the sulfhydryl groups of acetylcysteine ​​to break the disulfide bonds of acid mucus glycoproteins. It also has anti-inflammatory (due to inhibition of chemotaxis of leukocytes) and antioxidant effect.

Tuaminoheptane sulfate - sympathomimetic amine.

When applied topically, it has a vasoconstrictor effect, eliminates edema and hyperemia of the nasal mucosa and sinuses.

Indications

Acute and subacute rhinitis with a thick purulent-mucous secretion

chronic rhinitis

vasomotor rhinitis

sinusitis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug

angle-closure glaucoma

thyrotoxicosis

simultaneous use of tricyclic antidepressants and MAO inhibitors and up to 14 days after their withdrawal.

Precautions: for children under 3 years of age with bronchial asthma with arterial hypertension with angina pectoris of functional classes III-IV with frequent extrasystole (treatment should be carried out under medical supervision).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is possible only in cases where the expected benefits to the mother outweigh the potential risk to the fetus and the baby.

Composition

100 ml of the solution contain:

Active ingredients:

acetylcysteine ​​1 g

toaminoheptane sulfate 0.5 g

Excipients:

benzalkonium chloridepropyl chloride, methyl chloride, edetate,

sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate,

disodium phosphate dodecahydra t,

dithiothreitol, sorbitol 70%,

mint flavor,

ethanol 96%,

sodium hydroxide,

purified water.

Dosage and administration

The drug is injected into the nasal cavity as an aerosol using a special spray.

Adults: 2 doses of aerosol (2 presses on the valve) are injected into each nostril 3-4 times / day.

For children: the drug is prescribed 1 dose (1 tap on the valve) 3-4 times / day.

Duration of therapy should not exceed 7 days.

Side effects of

From the cardiovascular system: palpitations, tachycardia, arterial hypertension.

From the side of the central nervous system: arousal, tremor.

Local reactions: dry mucous membranes of the nose, mouth and throat.

Other: allergic reactions, urinary retention, inflammation of the sebaceous glands.

Drug Interaction

Not compatible with MAO inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants, as the latter potentiate the effects of sympathomimic substances, and this may lead to the development of systemic side effects caused by thuaminogepane.

When antihypertensive agents are used with Rinofluimucil, antihypertensive effects may be impaired.

Overdose

Symptoms: systemic side effects may develop, caused by the part of the drug with thuaminogeptane (tachycardia, tremor, anxiety, increased blood pressure, addiction).

Treatment: Symptomatic therapy is carried out if necessary.

Storage conditions

Store at a temperature of 15 to 25 РC.

Keep out of the reach of children.

The Expiration of

is 2.5 years. After opening the vial, the contents can be used for up to 20 days.
