Pharmacological action
Yoks - antiseptic, anti-inflammatory.
Provides iodine upon contact with skin or mucous membranes, causing an antiseptic effect.
Indications
Angina (catarrhal, follicular, lacunar caused by streptococci, with simultaneous treatment with antibiotics) tonsillitis (acute and chronic) inflammation of the larynx, tongue, afta are the first symptoms of influenza.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (including iodine), hyperthyroidism, heart failure, childhood (up to 6 years).
Special instructions
The drug is not intended for oral use (must not be inhaled or swallowed). In children, an aerosol is used if they are able to hold their breath when injected. In the absence of effect, it is necessary to consult a doctor within 3 days. The simultaneous use of other drugs for topical use in the oral cavity (hydrogen peroxide, antiseptics) is not recommended. It should be borne in mind that the drug contains 19% alcohol.
Composition
Polyvidone-iodine 8.5 g, allantoin 0.1 g, propylene glycol 30 g.
Dosage and administration
The solution before use is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:20 - 1:40 (i.e. 2.5-5 ml or 1/2 / 1 teaspoon in 100 ml of water) and rinse your mouth or throat 2ִ times a day.
Side effects
Allergic reactions rarely - burning sensation at the site of application.
Overdose of
When taking a large amount of the drug (if the patient is conscious), it is recommended to use activated charcoal, then induce vomiting (using warm salt water or throat irritation).
Storage conditions
In a dark place at a temperature of 10–25 РC
