Pharmacological action

Thymogen - immunostimulating agent, dipeptide.

It has immunomodulating, anti-inflammatory, desensitizing, antioxidant, reparative effects. It interacts with T-lymphocytes, Langerhans cells (macrophages) and mast skin cells, contributing to the normalization of their functional activity and intercellular interactions.

Helps reduce antigen / IgE-mediated production of inflammatory mediators of pro-inflammatory cytokines and biogenic amines (histamine and serotonin) in skin cells. Causes a decrease in skin manifestations of allergic reactions with increased sensitivity to various allergens. Suppresses the inflammatory response in response to skin irritants in contact dermatitis. Reduces skin inflammation and itching of allergic dermatitis in the acute phase of the disease.

Inhibits the processes of free radical oxidation in pathologically altered skin cells, preventing their damage and death, stimulates the production of antioxidant protection factors of cells.

Stimulates the proliferation of keratinocytes, fibroblasts and endothelial cells, contributing to the regeneration of damaged skin. It accelerates wound healing, stimulates cellular and humoral (tissue) defense factors.

Systemic effects are not significantly expressed due to limited absorption through the skin

Indications

Combined therapy of acute and chronic infectious and inflammatory diseases accompanied by a decrease in cellular immunity.

Prevention of infectious complications, immune suppression, blood formation, regeneration processes in the post-traumatic and postoperative period, during radiation therapy or chemotherapy, when using massive doses of antibiotics.

Prevention and treatment of viral and bacterial infections, acute and chronic respiratory diseases.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the drug, pregnancy, breastfeeding.

Dosage and administration of

The solution is administered intramuscularly 1 time per day for adults 100 Ојg (300 - 1000 Ојg per course)

for children under 1 year - 10 Ојg, from 1 year to 3 years - 10-20 Ојg, from 4 to 6 years - 20-30 mcg, from 7 to 14 years old - 50 mcg.

The duration of the course of treatment is 3-10 days, depending on the severity of immunity disorders. A second course of treatment is possible after 1-6 months.

Drug interaction

Increases the effectiveness of other types of therapy (cytostatics, radiation therapy, etc.) is not recommended to be used simultaneously with large doses of glucocorticosteroid drugs.
