Bepanten is a drug for external use that improves trophism and tissue regeneration.

Dexpanthenol, the active substance of the drug Bepanten, in the skin cells quickly turns into pantothenic acid, which is an integral part of coenzyme A and plays an important role both in the formation and healing of damaged skin

stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cell metabolism.

Indications

- in case of violation of the integrity of the skin: healing of burns (including sunburn), minor skin lesions (abrasions, cuts, cracks)

- prevention and treatment of dry skin, incl.

and as a consequence of dermatitis of various origins, as well as daily care for areas of the skin that are most exposed to external factors (face, hands)

- for the care of the mammary gland during lactation (cracks and redness of the nipples of the mammary gland)

- for the care of infants and babies (diaper rash, diaper dermatitis).

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to drug components.

Application during pregnancy and lactation

The ointment can be used during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Structure

1 g of ointment contains

active substance: dexpanthenol - 50mg

excipients: D, L-pantolactone, phenoxyethanol, amphisol K, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, lanolin, isopropyl myristate, propylene glycol, purified water.

Method of administration and dosage

Outwardly.

Bepanten ointment is applied in a thin layer 1-2 times a day on the affected surface and rubbed lightly.

When caring for the mammary gland, the ointment is applied to the surface of the nipples after each feeding.

When caring for infants, the ointment is applied every time the diaper (diaper) is changed.

Side effects

Allergic reactions (urticaria, itching) are possible in extremely rare cases.

Overdose

Dexpanthenol, even at high doses, is well tolerated and does not cause any adverse reactions.

To date, no cases of overdose have been registered.

Cases of hypervitaminosis are unknown.

Storage conditions
