DESCRIPTION
Camphor oil is a drug for the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system in animals and subclinical mastitis in cows during the dry period. The drug is a clear oily yellow liquid with a camphor odor.
COMPOSITION
Containing in 100 cm3 1Og of camphor as an active substance, and sunflower oil as an auxiliary substance.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Camphor oil has an antiseptic, local irritant, local analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.
According to the degree of impact on the body, camphor oil is classified as a low-hazard substance (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007). When applied to the skin surface, it is partially absorbed, undergoes oxidation. Oxidation products combine with glucuronic acid and are excreted by the kidneys. Part of camphor is excreted unchanged by the lungs and with bile.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Camphor oil is used to treat diseases of the musculoskeletal system in animals (arthritis, bursitis, tendovaginitis, myositis, bruises) and subclinical mastitis in cows during the dry period.
Camphor oil is used externally in the form of rubbing. The oil is applied to the area of ​​the skin in the area of ​​the inflammatory process and rubbed in with a light massaging motion for 2-3 minutes 1-2 times a day for 7-10 days, depending on the severity of the disease.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Camphor oil is not used concurrently with other topical drugs.
Livestock products, including milk, can be used without restrictions 48 hours after the last use of the drug. In case of forced slaughter of an earlier established period, milk is used after boiling for feed to fur animals; meat and offal - for animal feed or for the production of meat and bone meal.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Contraindications to the use of Camphor Oil are violations of the integrity of the skin and increased individual sensitivity to camphor.
SIDE EFFECTS
Camphor oil does not cause side effects and complications in animals when used in accordance with this instruction.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Store camphor oil with caution, in a dry, dark place at a temperature from 0 В° C to 20 В° C.
The shelf life of camphor oil, subject to storage conditions, is 2 years from the date of manufacture.
