Indications
Symptomatic treatment of dry eye syndrome.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, children under 18 years of age (no experience with use).
Precautions: during pregnancy and during breastfeeding (due to limited data).
Use during pregnancy and lactation
There have been no strictly controlled studies in pregnant women and nursing mothers. In animal studies, no adverse effects of the active components of the drug were detected.
Optiv is not absorbed from the surface of the mucosa, so there are no objective prerequisites for the possible excretion of its components with breast milk.
Use of the drug during pregnancy and during lactation is possible with caution.
Composition
1 ml contains:
Active substances: Carmellose sodium (type 7H3SXF 10-15) 1.75 mg,
carmellose sodium (type 7M8SFPH) 3.25 mg,
glycerol 9 mg.
Excipients:
Erythritol 2.50 mg, levocarnitine 2.50 mg, boric acid 7.00 mg, sodium borate decahydrate 2.00 mg, sodium citrate dihydrate 1.00 mg, potassium chloride 1.40 mg, calcium chloride dihydrate 0.06 mg, magnesium chloride hexahydrate 0.06 mg, stabilized hydroxy-chloro complex [sodium chlorite, sodium chlorate, chlorine dioxide] 0.10 mg, purified water to 1.00 ml.
Dosage and administration
The drug is instilled 1-2 drops in the conjunctival sac as needed.
Side effects
Disorders of the organ of vision: often - conjunctival hyperemia, hyperemia of the eyelids, blurred vision, a feeling of dry eyes, instilled discomfort, itching and irritation of the eyes, the formation of crusts on the edge of the eyelid.
In the post-marketing period, there were reports of the following adverse reactions to Optiv (frequency unknown): pain in the eye, the appearance of discharge from the eye, foreign body sensation in the eye, swelling of the eyelid, increased lacrimation, photophobia.
Drug Interaction
