DESCRIPTION

Deltsid is a drug for combating animal ectoparasites, disinsection and deacarization of livestock buildings. In appearance, the drug is an oily transparent liquid from yellow to brown. When mixed with water, it forms a stable white emulsion.

COMPOSITION

The drug contains 40 mg of deltamethrin as an active ingredient, and tween-80, neonol and nefras as auxiliary substances.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Delcid belongs to insectoacaricidal preparations of the group of synthetic pyrethroids.

Deltamethrin, which is part of the drug, has intestinal and contact insectoacaricidal action. It is active against sarcoptoid, ixodid and chicken ticks, bedbugs, downy eaters, lice, fleas, flies, horseflies, mosquitoes and other ectoparasites of animals.

The mechanism of action of deltamethrin is based on blocking the neuromuscular transmission of nerve impulses at the level of peripheral nerve ganglions, which leads to paralysis and death of parasites.

Delcid, according to the degree of impact on the body, belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in the recommended doses and concentrations does not have a local irritant and resorptive-toxic effect. Causes mild irritation on contact with mucous membranes. Toxic to fish and bees.

Delcid should not be used concurrently with other insectoacaricidal preparations due to a possible increase in toxicity. There is no information on the incompatibility of the medicinal product with medicinal products of other pharmacological groups and feed additives.

INDICATIONS

Delcid is used to treat sheep, cattle, pigs, rabbits and dogs with arachno-entomoses, as well as for disinsection and deacarization of livestock and poultry buildings and other objects of veterinary supervision.

APPLICATION

Animals against ectoparasites are treated by spraying (cattle, pigs, dogs) or bathing (sheep) in floating baths with a working emulsion.

The working emulsion is prepared immediately before use under the guidance of a veterinarian or veterinary paramedic. In this case, the volume of the emulsion required for processing and the amount of Delcide required for its preparation are determined.

The required volume of Delcid is thoroughly mixed with 2-3 volumes of water, and then poured into a floating bath with water or the reservoir of a spray device, adding water with stirring to the required volume.

Delcid concentration in working emulsion with water:

Ectoparasites Deltamethrin concentration,% Delcid concentration,% Delcid amount per 100l of water, ml

Sarcoptoid (itch) mites 0.005 0.125 125

Flies and other two-winged blood-sucking insects 0.001 with medium volume spraying 0.025 25

Lice 0.0012 0.03 thirty

Disinsection and deacarization of premises 0.005 0.125 125

The milk obtained before the expiration of the specified period can be used for feeding animals after heat treatment. Milk of dairy cows treated with Delcid in regimes against blood-sucking insects and pasture flies may be used for food purposes without restrictions.

Slaughter for meat of cattle, sheep and pigs is allowed no earlier than 15 days, rabbits - no earlier than 3 days after the last treatment with Delcid. In the event of the forced slaughter of animals before the established deadline, the meat can be used as feed for carnivores.
