Pharmacological action
Dexpanthenol is a synthetic derivative of D-pantothenic acid.
Pantothenic acid - a water-soluble vitamin of complex B - is necessary for a person for an intermediate metabolism: carbohydrates, proteins and fats.
Stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cellular metabolism, increases the strength of collagen fibers.
An increase in the need for this acid is observed with damage to the skin or tissues, and its deficiency in the skin can be made up by topical application of Dexpanthenol.
Low molecular weight Dexpanthenol, hydrophilicity and low polarity make it possible to penetrate into all layers of the skin.
Indications
- violation of the integrity of the skin caused by mechanical damage or after surgical interventions
- burns of various origins inflammatory processes on the skin
