Eprimek 500ml
DESCRIPTION
Eprimek (Eprimec) - solution for injections for parasitic diseases of cattle, deer, camels, pigs, small cattle, cats and dogs. In appearance, the drug is a clear yellowish solution.
COMPOSITION
Eprimek in 1 ml contains eprinomectin - 10 mg / ml as an active substance, dimethylacetomide - 50 mg / ml as auxiliary substances, benzyl alcohol 10 mg / ml, triglycerides up to 1 ml.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Eprimek has a broad spectrum of antiparasitic action on the imaginal and larval phases of the development of nematodes of the gastrointestinal tract and lungs, as well as sarcoptoid ticks, insects and gadfly larvae parasitizing farm animals.
The main targets of eprinomectin are glutamate-sensitive chlorine channels, as well as gamma-aminobutyric acid receptors in nematodes, gadfly larvae, and ectoparasites. A change in the current of chlorine ions through the membranes of nerve and muscle cells disrupts the conduction of impulses, which leads to paralysis and death of parasites.
The maximum concentration of eprinomectin in the blood plasma of animals is observed 1.5-2 hours after the injection of the drug. Eprimek is excreted from the body mainly with feces and urine.
According to the degree of impact on the body, Eprimek belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in the recommended doses it does not have embryotoxic, teratogenic and sensitizing effects; toxic to fish and bees.
PURPOSE

Against nematodes, the drug is used for animals before stalling and in the spring before being withdrawn to pasture, against gadfly larvae - immediately after the end of the summer of gadflies, against pathogens of arachno-entomoses - according to indications.
Each batch of the drug (when applied to agricultural animals) is preliminarily tested on a small group (7-10 heads) of animals. In the absence of complications, the entire livestock is processed within 3 days.
For dogs and cats, Eprimek is administered at the rate of 0.2 ml of the drug per 10 kg of animal weight (200 Ојg of active ingredient per 1 kg of weight).
