Pharmacological action

Minisiston has an estrogen-progestogen, contraceptive effect. Levonorgestrel in combination with ethinyl estradiol blocks the release of releasing factors (luteinizing and follicle-stimulating) hypothalamus, inhibits the secretion of pituitary gonadotropic hormones, and thus inhibits ovulation increases the viscosity of mucus in the cervix, which makes it difficult for spermatozoa to enter the floor. With regular use, it normalizes the menstrual cycle and helps to prevent a number of gynecological diseases, including tumor nature.

Indications

Contraception, functional disorders of the menstrual cycle, dysmenorrhea.

Special instructions

Cautiously prescribed to patients with varicose veins, phlebitis, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, endometriosis, liver diseases. Reception should be stopped and consult a doctor if you first experience migraine-like headaches, acute visual impairment, pregnancy, acute thrombosis, stagnation of bile or jaundice, a significant increase in blood pressure.

Composition

1 tablet contains: levonorgestrel 125 ?g and ethinyl estradiol 30 ?g

Dosage and administration of

minisiston is taken orally. For contraception - 1 tablet per day (the interval between successive doses should not exceed 36 hours) for 21 days, then a 7-day break and a new cycle.

For functional disorders, the doctor selects the dose.

Side effects

In rare cases, headache, depression, nausea, diarrhea, tenderness of the mammary glands with prolonged use, very rarely - chloasma, worsening tolerance of contact lenses.
