Pharmacological action

Antibacterial drug for local use in the oral cavity and pharynx.

Has a pronounced antimicrobial effect. In high concentrations, it has a bactericidal effect on most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms - pathogens of infectious diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx.

Increases the permeability of the membrane of the microbial cell, which violates its stability and causes death. The drug practically does not cause addiction to microorganisms sensitive to it.

When absorbed, it enhances salivation, helping to cleanse the oropharynx from microorganisms and inflammatory exudate.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and throat, accompanied by pain in the throat and oral cavity:

- pharyngitis

- tonsillitis

- periodontitis

- gingivitis stomatitis srdl.

Contraindications

- hypersensitivity to the components of the drug

- phenylketonuria (the drug contains aspartame)

- lactation period

- children under 4 years of age.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Grammidine is contraindicated for use during lactation. Caution should be used in pregnancy.

Composition

1 tablet contains:

Dosage and Administration

Topically. It is applied after food, by resorption in the mouth, without chewing. Immediately after using the drug, you should refrain from eating food and drinks for 1-2 hours.

Dosage for children from 4 to 12 years: 1 tablet 4 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 4 tablets.

Dosage for children over 12 years of age and adults: 2 tablets (one after another for 20-30 minutes) 4 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 8 tablets. In the absence of a therapeutic effect within 7 days of taking the drug, it is recommended to consult a doctor.

Side effects

Allergic reactions to drug components, gastrointestinal upsets (nausea, diarrhea) are possible.

Drug Interaction

No clinically relevant interactions with other medicinal products have been reported at this time.

Symptoms: administration of the drug at doses in excess of the recommended dose can cause gastrointestinal disorders due to changes in bacterial microflora: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
