IodantipyrineЃ tablets are taken orally after meals.
a) after tick sucking: 300 mg (3 tablets) - 3 times a day for the first 2 days; 200 mg (2 tablets) - 3 times a day for the next 2 days; 100 mg (1 tablet) - 3 times a day for the next 5 days.
b) during stay in places associated with possible suction of ticks: 200 mg (2 tablets) once a day during the entire period; 200 mg (2 tablets) 3 times a day for 2 days before visiting places associated with possible suction of ticks.
1 tablet contains:
Active ingredient: iodophenazone - 100.0 mg.
Excipients: potato starch - 26.0 mg, dextrose monohydrate - 29.0 mg, povidone K17 - 5.0 mg, stearic acid - 1.0 mg.
Individual intolerance to IodantipyrineЃ and other iodine-containing preparations,
hyperfunction of the thyroid gland,
severe violations of liver and kidney function,
pregnancy and lactation,
childhood.
Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics .
IodantipyrineЃ has anti-inflammatory, immunostimulating and interferonogenic properties. It stabilizes biological membranes and delays the penetration of the virus into the cell. It is an active inducer of alpha and beta interferon, stimulates cellular and humoral immunity. Active against tick-borne encephalitis virus.
Pharmacokinetics.
It is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, bioavailability is 80%. Up to 95% is metabolized in the liver. Excretion in the urine through the kidneys by active transport into the renal tubules: 3-5% unchanged, 80-90% - inactive metabolites. Has a high affinity for tissue proteins. The blood protein binding is 25%. The half-life is about 6 hours.
Possible adverse reactions with medical use of the drug
The drug is low-toxic, well tolerated. In some cases, dyspeptic symptoms, skin rash, itching, angioedema and other allergic reactions are possible. When you stop taking the drug, these phenomena disappear. If any adverse reaction develops, see your doctor as soon as possible. Combined use of IodantipyrineЃ and anti-mite immunoglobulin is not recommended. The use of the drug YodantipirinЃ for the prevention of tick-borne encephalitis is especially advisable: - for persons who have contraindications to vaccination and the use of human immunoglobulin against tick-borne encephalitis, prescribed for the specific prevention of tick-borne encephalitis; - persons who have previously completed a full course of vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis, as an additional preventive measure; - when dealing with victims at a later date (later 3-4 days) after tick suction, when the introduction of human immunoglobulin against tick-borne encephalitis is not indicated;- in the absence of the possibility of conducting a laboratory test of a tick or an enzyme immunoassay of blood (to detect the antigen of the tick-borne encephalitis virus) in situations when the patient is in an area remote from specialized medical institutions or on the basis of a medical institution where the diagnosis of tick-borne infections has not been established.
Interaction with other medicinal products
Antacids and H2 receptor antagonists reduce drug absorption. When taken together with oral hypoglycemic drugs, barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, indirect anticoagulants, IodantipirinЃ enhances their effect, displacing them from the connection with proteins.
