Indications

Inflammatory diseases of the skin and mucous membranes, myositis, neuralgia (as a distraction), atherosclerosis, tertiary syphilis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, pulmonary tuberculosis, nephritis, nephrosis, furunculosis, acne, chronic pyoderma, hemorrhagic diathesis, urticaria, pregnancy.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Contraindicated.

Dosage and administration

Externally, on damaged areas of the field.

Inside, after dissolving in milk, after eating (the dose is determined individually), for adults for the prevention of atherosclerosis, 1-10 drops 1-2 times a day for 30 days 2-3 times a year for the treatment of atherosclerosis - 10-12 drops 3 times a day with tertiary syphilis - 5-50 drops 2-3 times a day. The highest single dose - 20 drops, daily - 60 drops. Children over 5 years old - 3-5 drops 2-3 per day. Children over 5 years old are prescribed 3-5 drops 2-3 times a day, children under 5 years old are not prescribed. Higher doses of a 5% solution for adults: single - 20 drops, daily - 60 drops.

Iodism (runny nose, Quincke's edema, salivation, lacrimation, acne on the skin, etc.)

Drug Interaction

Pharmaceutically incompatible with essential oils, ammonia solutions, white precipitate with mercury (an explosive mixture is formed). Alkaline or acidic medium, presence of fat, pus, blood weaken antiseptic activity. Reduces the hypothyroid and current effects of lithium preparations.
