Pharmacological action
A herbal preparation that has an expectorant, mucolytic and antispasmodic effect due to the presence of saponins.
Indications
As an expectorant in infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract and bronchi, accompanied by a cough with sputum that is difficult to separate.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Hereditary fructose intolerance.
Arginine succinate synthetase deficiency.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Gedelix syrup is not recommended for use during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
Ingredients
100 ml syrup contains:
Active ingredient: ivy leaf extract (2.2–2.9: 1) 0.8 g
Excipients: macrogol glyceryl hydroxystearate - 0.5 g star fruit anise oil - 0.015 g hyetellosis - 0, 15 g sorbitol solution 70% (non-crystallizing) - 50 g propylene glycol - 13.877 g glycerol - 10 g purified water - 39.9605 g
Dosage and Administration
Inside, after meals.
If the doctor has not prescribed a different dosage, Gedelix should be taken:
Adults and children over 10 years: 3 times a day - 5 (single dose) - 15 (daily dose).
Children 4-10 years: 4 times a day - 2.5 (single dose) - 10 (daily dose).
Children 1–4 years old: 3 times a day - 2.5 (single dose) - 7.5 (daily dose).
Children under 1 year: 1 time per day - 2.5 (single dose) - 2.5 (daily dose).
The packaging contains a measuring spoon. 1 scoop corresponds to 5 ml.
Adults and teenagers Gedelix is recommended to be taken undiluted.
Breast and small children Gedelix is recommended to be diluted in a small amount of water.
The duration of use of the drug depends on the severity of the disease, but should be at least 7 days. After the symptoms disappear, it is recommended to continue treatment with the drug for 2-3 days.
Side effects
Possible: allergic reactions, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
In rare cases: pain in the epigastric region.
If any of the side effects specified in the instructions are aggravated or any other side effects that are not listed in the instructions occur, you should inform your doctor.
Drug Interaction
The drug should not be used concomitantly with antitussive drugs because this impedes the discharge of liquefied phlegm.
Overdose
Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, gastroenteritis are possible.
Treatment: withdrawal of the drug, symptomatic therapy.
Storage conditions
Store in a dark place at a temperature of 5–25 РC.
Keep out of the reach of children.
