DESCRIPTION
Lersin is a combined preparation in the form of powder and small granules for the prevention and early therapy of acute gastrointestinal diseases of non-infectious etiology in newborn calves. In appearance, the contents of the package No. 1 (polyvinylpyrrolidone) is a white or slightly yellowish powder; contents of package No. 2 (glucose) - powder or small granules of white or slightly yellowish color; Contents of package No. 3 (sodium and potassium chloride, ascorbic and aminoacetic acids, lactic acid and calcium acetate) - powder from white to light yellow color.
COMPOSITION
As active ingredients 50 g of sodium chloride, 5 g of ascorbic acid, 200 g of glucose, 200 g of polyvinylpyrrolidone, 30 g of aminoacetic acid and auxiliary components: potassium chloride, calcium lactic acid and calcium acetate.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The drug Lersin helps to remove toxins from the body, prevents the formation of casein bezoars in the abomasum, normalizes the water-salt balance, increases appetite, and stimulates the body's nonspecific resistance. The drug is classified as a low-hazard substance and in the recommended doses does not have a local irritating and sensitizing effect.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
The contents of all three packages are preliminarily dissolved in 10 liters of hot drinking water at 70-80 В° C and thoroughly mixed until the components are completely dissolved and cooled to 37-38 В° C.
Lersin's solution is used for newborn calves for prophylactic purposes in the first 6 drinkings after birth within 2 days: in this case, 250 ml of the drug is added to each single portion of colostrum and the calves are fed from the teat drinker.
For therapeutic purposes, the drug is given daily for 5-7 days, depending on the physiological state of the calf: in the next 2 drinks, milk is replaced with 1 liter of Lersin's solution, and in subsequent feedings, 250 ml of the drug is added to each portion of milk.
The prepared Lersin solution can be used within 3 days, provided it is stored at a temperature not exceeding 15 В° C. Lersin can be used in combination with other drugs.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Slaughter for meat of animals when using the drug is carried out without any restrictions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Increased individual sensitivity to drug components.
SIDE EFFECTS
In some cases, with increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, calves may experience allergic reactions. If these signs appear, the drug should be discontinued.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Store in a dry, dark place and out of reach of children and animals, separate from food and feed at temperatures from 5 to 30 В° C. Shelf life is 2 years.

The drug is produced packaged in a package with a total weight of 497 g, inside of which are placed three plastic bags: package No. 1 - 200 g, package No. 2 - 200 g and package No. 3 - 97 g for preparation of a solution for oral administration.
