Pharmacological action

Helomirtol - mucolytic, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory.

Pharmacodynamics

Has a mucolytic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial effect.

Pharmacokinetics

After oral administration, it is well absorbed in the small intestine. Cmax in blood plasma is achieved 1-3 hours after taking the drug. Approximately 60% of the drug and its metabolites are excreted in the urine, 5% in the feces, and about 2% in the lungs.

May pass through the placental barrier into the milk of nursing women.

Indications

Combination therapy of inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract (acute and chronic bronchitis, sinusitis).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Side effects

Allergic reactions (itching, skin rash, facial swelling, bronchospasm), shortness of breath, tachycardia, dry mouth, stomach pain, flatulence, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, increased mobility of kidney stones and gall bladder are possible.

If you develop any other side effects after taking the drug, you should immediately consult a doctor.

Overdose

Symptoms: in case of accidental overdose nausea, vomiting, convulsions are possible, in severe cases - coma or respiratory distress. In rare cases, violations of CCS may occur after severe intoxication.

Treatment: administration of vaseline oil at a dose of 3 ml / kg gastric lavage with 5% sodium bicarbonate solution (baking soda) ventilation of the lungs with oxygen.
