Pharmacological action
Nesopine is an alpha-adrenergic stimulant for topical use. It has a vasoconstrictor effect. With intranasal administration, swelling of the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract decreases.
The action appears 15 minutes after application and lasts for 8-12 hours.
Indications
rhinitis (allergic and infectious inflammatory etiology)
sinusitis
eustachyitis
hay fever.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, atrophic rhinitis, pregnancy, lactation, children (up to 6 years).
Precautions - chronic heart failure, arrhythmias, severe asteroscleosis, arterial hypertension, thyrotoxicosis, diabetes mellitus, chronic renal failure, angle-closure glaucoma.
Special instructions
You can use no more than 3 days at the recommended dosage without consulting a doctor.
Avoid contact with eyes intended for intranasal administration. The drug has an effect on vision (in contact with eyes), possible reduction in reaction rate.
In dosages exceeding recommended, may affect the ability to drive a vehicle or equipment.

1 ml contains:
Active ingredient: oxymethazoline hydrochloride - 0.5 mg
Excipients: menthol, eucalyptus oil, disodium edetate, diatrium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium benzyl dihydrogen phosphate 1 ml
Dosage and administration of
Nesopine is administered intranasally.
Adults and children over 12 years of age - 2-3 injections in each nasal passage with an interval of 10-12 hours.
Children from 6 to 12 years of age - 1 injection in each nasal passage.
Side effects
Local reactions: transient dryness and burning of the nasal mucosa, dry mouth and throat, sneezing. With prolonged use - tachyphylaxis, reactive hyperemia of the mucous membrane and atrophy of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity.
Systemic reactions: increased blood pressure, increased anxiety, nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, palpitations, sleep disturbances.
Drug interaction
Slows down the absorption of local anesthetics and prolongs their effect.
Co-administration of other vasoconstrictor drugs increases the risk of side effects.
With the simultaneous appointment of monoamine oxidase blockers and tricyclic antidepressants - an increase in blood pressure.
Overdose
Symptoms: tachycardia, increased blood pressure, depression of the central nervous system.
Treatment: symptomatic.
