DESCRIPTION

Ranozol is a solution for external use for the treatment of wounds in unproductive animals. In appearance, the drug is a transparent, homogeneous yellow liquid.

COMPOSITION

Ranosol as an active ingredient contains furacilin - 0.31%, etonium, dimethyl sulfoxide, glycerin, isopropyl or ethyl alcohol.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

The mechanism of action of furacilin, which is part of the drug, is the reduction of the 5-nitro group by microbial flavoproteins with the formation of highly reactive amino derivatives that cause conformational changes in proteins (including ribosomal ones), which leads to the death of a microorganism cell. Glycerin retains drug particles on the outer surface, and dimethyl sulfoxide facilitates the transfer of furacilin and etonium through the skin into the underlying tissues.

INDICATIONS

Ranosol is used for dogs, cats, fur animals, decorative rodents, as well as sports horses and ponies to treat wounds - aseptic and infected, operating rooms, umbilical cord treatment, tail stump, for primary treatment of abrasions, scratches, superficial wounds and other minor traumatic injuries, disinfection skin (surgical field).

APPLICATION AND DOSAGE

Ranosol is applied to the affected skin with a tampon or sprayed from a distance of 15-20 cm. Depending on the size of the wounds and fistulas, the amount of solution should be such as to completely moisten the treated surface, taking into account streaks and wound cavities. The treatment is carried out daily until the wounds are completely cleared of purulent-necrotic masses. Then, with the beginning of the granulation and healing process, the preparation is applied once every 2-3 days. The course of treatment is 7-14 days. In the case of severe contamination, the wounds are treated until all visible dirt is removed.

When treating the skin for the purpose of disinfection, as well as on fresh wounds, the drug is applied once at an average consumption of 3-5 g.

The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first use and cancellation were not revealed.

SIDE EFFECTS

Increased individual sensitivity to drug components.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

When using Ranosol in accordance with the instructions, side effects and complications, as a rule, are not observed. With increased individual sensitivity and the appearance of allergic reactions, the animal is prescribed antihistamines and symptomatic therapy.

Ranosol is compatible with other drugs.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

Store Ranosol in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, away from heating devices and open fire, in a dark place out of the reach of children, separately from food and feed at temperatures from 0 В° C to 30 В° C. The shelf life is 18 months.
