Rifacyclinum 400ml
DESCRIPTION
Rifacyclin (Rifacyclinum) is a complex antibacterial drug. The drug is a suspension with a weakly pronounced specific odor from yellow-orange to orange-red; during storage, the presence of a precipitate that easily breaks down when shaken is allowed.
COMPOSITION
1.0 of which contains 5 mg of rifampicin, 25,000 IU of tetracycline auxiliary substances: sodium carboxymethylcellulose, 1 ascorbic acid and acid, benzyl alcohol, distilled water.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The antibiotic rifampicin, which is part of the drug, inhibits the growth of many gram-positive microorganisms, as well as some gram-negative bacteria. Tetracycline has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial action, inhibits the growth and development of many gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms. In relation to most pathogenic microbes, antibiotics in the complex exhibit a synergistic effect. At the therapeutic level, the concentration of rifampicin and tetracycline in the animal's body is maintained for 12-24 hours.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
The drug is intended for the treatment of cows with clinical mastitis and endometritis.
In mastitis, the drug is injected intracisternally into the affected lobe of the udder through the teat canal with a syringe with a catheter at a dose of 10 cm3 once a day for 3 days with an interval of 24 hours (preferably after evening milking). If necessary, repeat the course of treatment after 10-15 days.
Before the introduction of the drug, the contents of the diseased portion of the udder are milked, boiled and destroyed, and the nipple is disinfected with 70% rectified alcohol or 0.5% chloramine solution. After injection of the preparation, the udder nipple is gently massaged from the bottom up.
In case of endometritis, the drug is administered to cows using a Janet syringe or a pipette for intrauterine insemination at a dose of 50-100 cm3. The course of treatment is 3 injections with an interval of 24 hours.
Before use, the bottle with the drug is shaken and heated in a water bath to 37-38 В° C.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Meat and milk from animals that received rifacyclin may be used no earlier than 20 times after the last administration of the drug.
Meat of animals that were forcedly killed before the expiration of the specified period is fed to carnivores, and milk from cows treated with rifacyclin is fed during this period after boiling.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Individual sensitivity of animals to rifampicin and tetracycline.
SIDE EFFECTS
Side effects and complications after the use of rifacyclin in recommended doses have not been established.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The drug is stored in a place protected from sunlight at a temperature from 0 to 10 В° C. The shelf life of the drug is 1 year from the date of manufacture, subject to storage rules.
