PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
According to the parameters of acute toxicity when introduced into the stomach and applied to the skin, Sulfox belongs to the 3rd class of moderately hazardous according to the classification of GOST 12.1.007-76.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Means 'Sulfox' is intended for use by organizations engaged in disinfection activities at facilities of various categories for the purpose of: destroying head and pubic lice in adults over 16; body lice; for the impregnation of fabrics (including underwear and bed linen, uniforms) in order to prevent head lice (only for adults); disinsection of premises against lice and scabies in health care facilities and foci of pediculosis and scabies; extermination of synanthropic arthropods (cockroaches, bed bugs, fleas, ants, skin bugs, rat mites, adults and larvae of flies, wasps, imago mosquitoes) at various facilities: industrial, administrative, food, utility (in the absence of people on sanitary and weekends days).
Destruction of head and pubic lice:
Dilute one ampoule of concentrate with a volume of 1 ml in 99 ml of water to obtain a 0.2% (in terms of DV) aqueous emulsion. Apply the water emulsion with a swab to wet hair of the scalp or other parts of the body (in the presence of pubic lice). After 20 minutes after application, rinse off the treated parts of the body with running water, then wash them in the usual way using baby soap. Rinse the hair of the head with a 4.5% aqueous solution of table vinegar (dilute 9% table vinegar with warm water in a 1: 1 ratio), comb it with a fine comb to remove dead insects and nits.
With a high number of head lice, hats and pillows are treated.
The consumption rate of the aqueous working emulsion of the 'Sulfox' means is from 30 to 100 ml, depending on the degree of infestation by insects, the length and thickness of the hair.
If necessary, the treatment must be repeated after 7-10 days, but no more than twice a month.
Extermination of body lice:
With wardrobe lice and a high number of insects, clothes are disinfected and the patient himself is treated. The destruction of lice on the human body and disinsection of linen, clothes and other things and objects infected with lice are recommended to be carried out simultaneously for all people living together or being together in order to avoid re-infection. All things infected with lice that cannot be processed on site are seized, packed in kraft, polyethylene, oilcloth or linen bags, impregnated with a means permitted for these purposes. Items to be washed are packed separately from items not to be washed. Disinsection is carried out before sending the laundry to the laundry. After treatment of people with head lice, it is necessary to organize a shower (washing the head) with a change of clothes and bedding used by the patient. When working with an aqueous emulsion of the insectoacaricidal agent 'Sulfox', sprayers of various brands are used that give a coarse aerosol ('Rosinka', 'Kvazar'). It is recommended to simultaneously handle garments and bedding of all co-residents to avoid re-infection.
For disinsection of textiles and other products that could be infected with these parasites, use 0.2% aqueous emulsion of the insectoacaricidal agent 'Sulfox', using two methods: soaking the contaminated items and irrigating them from spray equipment. Underwear, bed linen and other products to be washed are soaked in an aqueous emulsion for 20 minutes. The consumption rate is 0.2% w.e. for a set of underwear is 2.5 liters or 4.5 liters for a set of bed linen, or for 1 kg of dry items. After disinsection, the linen is thoroughly rinsed and soaked for 1 hour in a hot (80-85 В° C) soap and soda solution (1 tablespoon of soda ash and 5 g of laundry soap per 1 liter of water), and then washed in the usual way. Machine wash allowed.
Non-washable outerwear, bedding and other things are irrigated with a 0.2% water emulsion of the agent, applied to the entire surface of the treated items. Blankets, pillows, mattresses and clothing are processed on both sides. Pay special attention to the seams and folds on the inside of the garment. The consumption rate for a wool dress is 30-50 ml; for a set of bedding (mattress, blanket) - 400 ml; for a set of clothes (coat, jacket, trousers, hat) - 350 ml. Processed things are used only after they have dried and thoroughly ventilated in the open air (during the day).
The control over the effectiveness of the measures taken is carried out by the person responsible for these measures by visual inspection of parts of the human body (if necessary, the hair of the head is combed with a fine comb in order to comb out lice), underwear, clothes and other things and objects. The procedure and terms of observation of the focus of pediculosis is established by Order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation No. 342 of 11/26/98 'On strengthening measures to prevent epidemic typhus and combat pediculosis.'
Destruction of scabies mites:
Disinsection of linen, clothes and other things and objects infected with scabies mites is recommended to be carried out simultaneously for all people living together or staying together in order to avoid re-infection.
All things infected with scabies mites that cannot be processed on site are removed and packed in kraft, polyethylene, oilcloth or linen bags, impregnated with an agent approved for this purpose. Items to be washed are packed separately from items not to be washed. Disinsection is carried out before sending the laundry to the laundry.
Disinsection of premises against lice and scabies mites:
Treatment with 0.2% water emulsion is carried out in the foci of pediculosis and scabies, as well as in the places of examination and transportation of patients with pediculosis and scabies (admission departments of hospitals, isolation wards, sanitary inspection rooms, sanitary and other transport after the patient is delivered, etc.). All objects that the patient may have come into contact with or things infected with parasites (floor, chairs, couches and other objects) are treated.
The floor is irrigated from the 'Kvazar' or 'Rosinka' spraying equipment. Wipe other surfaces with a cloth moistened with 0.2% w.e. Consumption rate w.e. is 30-50 ml per m2, depending on the type of surface (non-absorbent, absorbent).
The processing of the premises is carried out daily after the end of the admission of patients in the absence of people. Not earlier than 20 minutes after treatment, the room is ventilated for at least 30 minutes and cleaned in the usual way with the addition of soda ash (1 tablespoon per 1 liter of water). Cleaning can be done the next day before the start of patient visits.
Extermination of synanthropic arthropods at objects of various categories:
For treatments are recommended c.e. means 'Sulfox' in the range of concentrations from 0.1 to 1.0% (for DV), depending on the type and number of arthropods, the type of treated surface, the presence of resistance of natural populations of arthropods to the applied DV.
Destruction of cockroaches:
To process the habitats of cockroaches and the ways of their entry into the room: cracks along the baseboards and adjacent sections of the walls and floor, along the pipes of the water supply, sewer systems, cracks in the walls, behind door frames, etc.; behind furnishings (sideboards, tables, shelves, racks) from the back. To kill cockroaches, use 100 ml of 0.5% aqueous working emulsion per 1 m2 of absorbent surface and 50 ml of 0.2% (in terms of DV) aqueous working emulsion per 1 m2 of non-absorbent surface. Processing is carried out simultaneously in all rooms where cockroaches are found. With a large population of insects, adjacent rooms are processed in order to protect them from colonization by cockroaches. Dead and paralyzed insects are systematically swept away and destroyed (burned, flushed down the drain). Repeated treatments are carried out according to entomological indications.
Destruction of bed bugs and their eggs:
Treat insect habitats: cracks in walls and furniture, behind baseboards, backs of carpets, paintings, wallpaper. Consumption rate of 100 ml of 0.5% (in DV) aqueous working emulsion per 1 m2 of the treated surface. Repeated treatments are carried out according to entomological indications.
Flea control:
They treat the floor surface, cracks behind the baseboards, walls up to 1 m high, the back sides of carpets, etc. When processing basements, these rooms are preliminarily cleaned of debris, if possible, and then thoroughly irrigated, taking into account the consumption rates of the product. The consumption rate is 50-100 ml of 0.2% (by DV) of the aqueous working emulsion per 1 m2, regardless of the type of surface. Repeated treatments are carried out according to entomological
