Pharmacological action
Combined external drug. Tar and xeroform (bismuth tribromphenolate and bismuth oxide complex) have an antimicrobial and local irritating effect, accelerate the regeneration processes.
Indications
Uninfected postoperative and post-traumatic wounds of the skin and soft tissues.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, acute purulent diseases of the skin and soft tissues (including abscessed boil, carbuncle, phlegmon, abscess, hydradenitis, lymphadenitis, suppurable atheroma, lipoma, paraproctitis, pleural empyema).
Composition
One tube (40 g) contains:
active ingredients: birch tar - 1.2 g, xeroform - 1.2 g
excipients: anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, castor oil.
Dosage and administration
Applied externally in adults. Apply 2-3 times a day with a thin layer on the affected areas of the skin or apply over a period of time, certain severity of the process and tolerance to the drug.
In case of application under a bandage before applying it, the wound is cleaned of necrotic tissue, bubbles open, washed with an antiseptic solution. Apply a bandage in 5-6 layers of gauze with the drug, fix. The dressing is changed 1 time for 2-3 days. The course of treatment is 10-12 days.
Side effects
Possibly: an allergic reaction.
