For oral administration, the initial dose is 50 mg 2-3 times / day; the dose is gradually increased to 150 mg 2-3 times / day. V / m - 100 mg 2 times / day; in / in - 100 mg / day once.

pharmachologic effect

Muscle relaxant of central action. A decrease in the pathologically increased tone of skeletal muscles is explained by the ability of tolperisone to suppress spinal polysynaptic reflexes and by a depressing effect on the caudal part of the reticular formation. Possesses central n-anticholinergic properties. Does not significantly affect the peripheral parts of the nervous system. It has a weak antispasmodic and vasodilator effect.

Side effect

Possibly: headache, myasthenia gravis, arterial hypotension, nausea, vomiting, gastralgia, allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock, bronchospasm, urticaria, erythematous rash, itching).

Application during pregnancy and lactation

Contraindicated during pregnancy, lactation.

Application in children

Contraindicated in children under 1 year of age.

Drug interactions

The effect of tolperisone is enhanced by simultaneous use with drugs for general anesthesia, peripheral muscle relaxants, psychoactive drugs, with clonidine.
