Pharmacological action
Regevac B - a vaccine for the prevention of hepatitis B. It contains the surface antigen of hepatitis B virus (ayw serotype) obtained by recombination of DNA on a yeast culture, transformed by incorporating a gene into their genome, coding for surface antigen of hepatitis B.
The course of vaccination leads to the formation of specific antibodies to the hepatitis B virus in more than 90% of those vaccinated in a protective titer.
Indications
Prevention of hepatitis B in adults
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to yeast and other components of the vaccine. Severe reaction (temperature above 40 РC, edema, hyperemia of more than 8 cm in diameter at the injection site) or a complication to the previous administration of the hepatitis B vaccine. Acute infectious and non-infectious diseases, chronic diseases in the acute stage - immunization is carried out not earlier than through 1 month after recovery (remission). In mild forms of acute respiratory viral infections and acute intestinal infections, vaccinations can be carried out after normalizing the temperature.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The effect of the vaccine on the fetus has not been studied. The possibility of vaccinating a pregnant woman can be considered at an extremely high risk of infection.
Special instructions
Given the potential for the development of immediate allergic reactions in particularly sensitive individuals, vaccinees must be monitored 30 minutes after vaccination. Vaccination sites should be provided with anti-shock therapy.
Complaints about the specific and physical properties of the drug should be sent to the State Research Institute for Standardization and Control of Medical Biological Preparations named after L.A. Tarasevich (119002, Moscow, trans. Sivtsev Vrazhek, 41, tel. (499) 241-39-22, fax (499) 241-92-38) and to the address of Binnofarm CJSC (124460, Moscow, Zelenograd, 4th Zapadny proezd, 3, building 1. Tel / fax: (495) 510-32-88).
The increased reactogenicity of the drug and the complications after its administration should be reported by telephone or telegraph to the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being and to the State Research Institute for Standardization and Control of Medical Biological Products named after L.A. Tarasevich.
Composition
Active ingredient: purified surface hepatitis B virus antigen (HBsAg) - 20 mcg,
Excipients: thiomersal (preservative) - 50 mcg (or not), aluminum hydroxide (sorbent) - 0, 5 mg components of water for injection buffer up to 1 ml.
Dosage and administration
The vaccine is administered intramuscularly into the deltoid muscle, newborns and young children in the anterolateral thigh: administration to another location reduces the effectiveness of vaccination. Before administration, the ampoule is shaken.
Side effects
Side effects with Regevac B vaccine are rare. In 5-10% of cases, pain, erythema and compaction at the injection site are possible. The administration of the drug is occasionally possible: a slight fever, complaints of malaise, weakness, joint pain, muscle pain, headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain.
All reactions to administration are weak and usually disappear 2–3 days after injection.
Given the potential for the development of immediate allergic reactions in particularly sensitive individuals, vaccinees must be monitored for 30 minutes after vaccination. Vaccination sites should be provided with anti-shock therapy.
Storage conditions
Store and transport in accordance with SP 3.3.2.1248-03 at a temperature of 2 to 8 РC, out of the reach of children. Short-term (no more than 72 hours) transportation at a temperature of 9 to 30 РC is allowed. Freezing is not allowed.
