Pharmacological action

A full course of vaccination ensures the development of long-term specific immunity in 90-95% of vaccinated.

Indications

Active prophylaxis of viral hepatitis A in children aged 3 years, adolescents and adults.

Vaccinations are available for individuals who are or will be at risk of contracting viral hepatitis A: people living in areas with a high incidence of hepatitis A

individuals, traveling to regions with a high incidence of hepatitis A (military personnel, travelers, etc.)

persons contacting in

foci persons at occupational risk of infection: medical and nursing personnel (especially in infectious, gastroenterological and pediatric departments) personnel of kindergartens, workers of sewer and plumbing services personnel of the food industry and public catering

persons from special risk groups (patients with matic liver diseases or increased risk of liver disease, hemophiliacs, patients with multiple blood transfusion addicts face homosexuals, promiscuous).

Vaccinations can also be given to other populations.

Contraindications

acute infectious and non-infectious diseases, exacerbations of chronic diseases. Vaccination is carried out not earlier than 1 month after recovery (remission)

strong reaction (temperature above 40 РC hyperemia, edema at the injection site with a diameter of more than 8 cm) with the previous administration of the drug

In order to identify contraindications, the doctor (paramedic) on the day of vaccination examines and polls the vaccine with mandatory thermometry. If necessary, conduct an appropriate laboratory examination.

vaccine for the prevention of hepatitis A (inactivated hepatitis A virus antigen) 50 ELISA units

Excipients: aluminum hydroxide 0.5 mg, formaldehyde not more than 0.15 mg, phosphate buffered saline 0.01 M to 1 ml.

Dosage and administration

The vaccine is administered intramuscularly into the deltoid muscle (shoulder muscle).

One vaccination dose is 0.5 ml for children and adolescents, 1.0 ml for adults. The vaccination course, which provides long-term protection against hepatitis A disease, consists of two vaccinations carried out with an interval of 6-12 months. A single injection of the vaccine provides protection against infection for up to 12 months.

Intravenous vaccine is not allowed!

Opening of ampoules and the vaccination procedure is carried out with strict observance of the rules of asepsis and antiseptics. Before entering the syringe, the vaccine is thoroughly mixed by shaking the ampoule. When using an ampoule containing several doses, each dose should be administered using a separate sterile syringe with a sterile needle. The vaccine from an opened multidose ampoule should be used within 30 minutes.

The drug is not suitable for use in ampoules with impaired integrity, labeling, as well as when changing physical properties (color, transparency, etc.). Vaccinations carried out are recorded in the established accounting forms with the date, dose, manufacturer, batch number, reaction to vaccination.

Side effects

In isolated cases, vaccinated individuals may experience malaise, headache, short-term low-grade fever. In rare cases, there is a passing minor pain or muscle twitching at the injection site, as well as slight skin hyperemia or mild edema, which disappear after 1-2 days.

Given the theoretical possibility of developing immediate allergic reactions in particularly sensitive individuals, vaccinated patients must be monitored for 30 minutes. Vaccination sites should be provided with anti-shock therapy.

Drug Interactions

Algwak M can be used simultaneously with other inactivated vaccines of the national vaccination calendar and the vaccination calendar for epidemiological indications (except for the rabies vaccine), provided that the vaccines are administered in different parts of the body.

The vaccine should not be mixed in the same syringe with other vaccines.

Storage Conditions

The vaccine is stored and transported in accordance with SP 3.3.2.1248-03 at 2 РC to 8 РC. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
