DESCRIPTION
Tsiflunit (Cyflunit) is an effective insecticidal preparation with a prolonged action to provide protection of cattle during the grazing period from all types of flying insects with an economical dosage and without the need to reject meat and milk. Release form: solution for external use. In appearance, the drug is an oily transparent yellow liquid.
COMPOSITION
Tsiflunit in 1 ml contains cyfluthrin - 10 mg and excipients as an active ingredient.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Tsiflunit belongs to insecticidal preparations of the group of synthetic pyrethroids. Cyfluthrin (cyano - 4 (- fluoro - 3 - phenoxyphenyl) - methyl - 3- (2,2-dichloroethenyl) - 2,2-dimethyl), which is part of the drug, has a contact insecticidal and repellent effect, is active against dipterans including zoophilic flies, including Haematobia irritans, Haematobia stimulans, Musca autumnalis, Stomoxys calcitrans, as well as horseflies (Tabanidae), gadflies (Hypodermatidae), mosquitoes (Culicidae), and midges (Simuliidae).
The mechanism of the insecticidal action of the drug is to block the transmission of nerve impulses, which causes impaired coordination of movements, paralysis and death of insects.
After being applied to the skin, the drug, practically without being absorbed, is distributed over the surface of the animal's body, which ensures its long-term insecticidal and repellent effect. Ziflunite belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76): LD50 for oral administration and skin application to white rats is more than 5000 mg / kg of animal weight.
In the recommended dose, it does not have a resorptive-toxic and irritating effect on the skin; Causes slight irritation in eye contact.
The drug is toxic to bees, as well as fish and other aquatic organisms.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
The handling of cattle is carried out by a veterinarian, paramedic or specially trained people under their guidance. The dispenser supplied in the package is screwed onto the bottle.
Cyflunit is applied with a dispenser to the skin of the back along the spine from the withers to the sacrum in a dose of 10 ml per animal, which approximately corresponds to three * full depressions of the dispenser filled with the drug.
The processing of animals is carried out in the pasture period once every 4–6 weeks (depending on the number of insects). Dairy cows should be handled immediately after milking.
The protective effect of the drug lasts at least 28 days after a single treatment. Weather conditions do not reduce the effectiveness of the drug.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first use and cancellation were not revealed.
When carrying out treatments, you should adhere to the interval recommended by the instruction.
Tsiflunit should not be used concurrently with other insectoacaricidal preparations.
Products of animal origin after applying Ziflunit in accordance with this instruction can be used without restrictions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication to use is the individual hypersensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug. Ziflunite should not be applied to animals weighing less than 300 kg, applied to damp, damaged and contaminated skin.
SIDE EFFECTS
There are no side effects and complications when using Tsiflunit in accordance with this instruction. In case of increased individual sensitivity to the drug and the manifestation of allergic reactions, the animal is prescribed antihistamines and symptomatic therapy.
PERSONAL PREVENTION MEASURES
When using Tsiflunit, you should follow the general rules of personal hygiene and safety measures provided for when working with insectoacaricidal drugs. To avoid getting the drug on exposed skin and clothing, you should be located on the leeward side of the animals using special clothing (dressing gown, headdress, rubber boots, hygienic gloves). Do not drink, smoke or eat while working. At the end of work, you should thoroughly wash your hands with warm water and soap.
In case of accidental contact of the drug with the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, they must be rinsed with plenty of running water. People with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug should avoid direct contact with Tsiflunit. In case of allergic reactions or in case of accidental ingestion of the drug into the human body, you should immediately contact a medical institution (with you have instructions for using the drug or a label).
Empty vials from under the medicinal product must not be used for domestic purposes, they must be disposed of with household.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Store the medicinal product in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, separately from food and feed, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight at a temperature of 8C to 25 C. The shelf life of Ciflunit, subject to storage conditions in a closed package, is 3 years from the date of production, after opening bottle - 60 days. It is forbidden to use Ziflunit after the expiration date.
PACKAGING
Ziflunit is produced in the form of a ready-made solution for external use in polymer bottles of 100 ml, closed with screw caps. Dispenser and hygiene gloves are included with the package.
